• spread through the bite of an infected Aedes mosquito
• Aedes mosquito sucking blood during the day ; peak biting time is in the morning and in the evening before dusk .
• There are four types of dengue virus . If you have been infected with one type of virus , will provide lifelong immunity to the virus , but does not prevent infection from other viruses .
• A second or subsequent infections can become worst.
• Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is such as damage to the lymphatic and blood vessels , bleeding from the nose and gums , swelling of the heart and circulatory system failure .
• DHF can cause death if not treated early
• Up to now there is no vaccine to prevent dengue
• The best way to prevent dengue is to eliminate breeding ground for mosquitoes.
